Join us during Global Entrepreneurship Week Basel for an insightful and highly interactive event that discusses the transition from corporate careers to the dynamic world of entrepreneurship and startups. We will delve into the key qualities that define successful entrepreneurs and leaders in startup environments and how corporate leaders can leverage their corporate skills in making a successful transition.
The event includes:
• Keynote Insight: Discover traits needed for startup success from Anne Sandberg.
• Panel Discussion: Learn from executives about key skills for startup transitions.
• Breakout Sessions: Discuss applying corporate skills to entrepreneurship.
• Entrepreneurial Fit Quiz: Assess your startup potential with a self-quiz.
The event will close with a networking aperitif.
Program Highlights:
Keynote Insight by Anne Sandberg: Bet More on the Jockey, Less on the Horse
Anne Sandberg, Managing Partner at Harrison Assessment, will present her research on predictors of success for startup founders versus C-level leaders. Gain valuable knowledge on how different roles require distinct mindsets and skills, and learn how corporate experience can be leveraged effectively in the entrepreneurial landscape.
Panel Discussion: Moving into the Startup World Successfully
Explore what makes a successful entrepreneur with our panel of former corporate executives who have made the leap into the startup world. These leaders will share their insights and experiences in transitioning from large organizations to becoming agile entrepreneurs, discussing the competencies they found crucial in their journey.
Breakout Sessions: Navigating Your Path
Participants will break into subgroups to engage in meaningful discussions about their own experiences, potential barriers, and the skills they've honed in corporate settings that can be applied to entrepreneurial ventures. The results of the breakout sessions will be reported back to the panel for a joint evaluation and best practice session.
Entrepreneurial Fit Quiz
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to complete a quiz designed to indicate their potential fit as either a startup founder or a C-level leader.
Closing Networking Aperitif
Conclude the event with a networking aperitif, where you can connect with like-minded professionals, potential collaborators, and other entrepreneurial enthusiasts. Forge new relationships and discover opportunities in a relaxed and engaging setting.
